It's the rhythm that keeps you moving.

2 down and 2 more to go! i'm considered lucky i guess because my exams are not followed after consecutive days. That leaves me an extra day or a couple to study. Somehow i am not really worried about the exams though, i prefer studying at the very last minute. All my life, well most of it i've been studying at the very last minute, and i guess that is the best way for me because if i studied like 3 days before, i would practically just forget most of the things i have covered. But this time i have got to try to study earlier especially for Astronomy, it's a lot to cover. oh well, all the best to all of you for your finals.
I cannot wait for summer movies. I cannot remember what are they but i remember looking at multiple movie trailers and i find most of them entertaining. The one that i am most anxious to watch would be Step up 3. I have always enjoy dancing movies. Step up 1 and 2 were good. And there are others like stomp the yard, you got serve and a few more. Unfortunately i can't dance, if not i'll be dancing my ass off. Dancing with the rhythm of music, whatever music you are listening to, allows your to express what you really feel at that moment. oh well, i just cannot wait for it to premier. and Sharni Vinson. just simply wonderful in the movie.
I guess this would be my final post. All the best too all of you for the rest of your time in the University. Have a great summer too!

I think i am missing some.

As mentioned on my previous post, i said that i have eventually come to an end where i am going to stop blogging. Well, my blog is going to be risen maybe one or two more times to cover the missing free post that i have missed on February.

After receiving back my third essay, i am quite disappointed that i never really improve on my grades throughout the 3 essays that i have got back. After knowing my mistakes from the previous one, i guess i try not to commit the same mistakes which i think i didn't but somehow i tend to make other mistakes. After handing up another essay you have written, you feel that may have improved and you would expect a better return when you anxiously collect it weeks after. But sometimes things do not go your way, but i guess you just have to keep trying until you achieve what you are looking for. I guess the thing is not to just stop even if you are frustrated and just keep going. I believe at some point of time you will eventually achieve something. It might be a slight improvement but an improvement nonetheless. If you still think that you aren't achieving what you set out for? work harder.

This is not something that demotivates you but sometimes life just will not go your way. You can give it all you got and not ending up what you are searching for. This mostly happens in careers or studies. You could be studying engineering for example but later in life you may end up working as something else. I believe only a fraction of people end up working as what they would dream to be. that's life. it's harsh but at least you can turn back and say that at least you have tried your best and just unfortunately it doesn't turn up. Sometimes change could be good too. It maybe something that you hate or dislike but little did you know that it's that little something that would actually spice up your life and make it so much crazier.

therefore don't give up on what you set yourself for or your dream. Some dreams you could argue are unrealistic but hey, who cares? I believe if you're really interested you would eventually make it happen. And if you say you have no time to achieve it i think it's BS. if you really want to do it. you will have time for it. Just take a gamble and try doing something crazy for a change.

PS: i dont know what i am writing about, i wrote this in class and what just came into my mind i just wrote it down. Signing out!

Here is ends.

I guess this would be the last free journal that will be posted since the semester is drawing to an end. The semester is already i guess, could have been better. I am really looking forward towards the fall semester. Hope that it will be a much funner semester.

After the finals i was looking forward to 3 months of doing nothing, ps3 and the world cup to enjoy. BUT NOOOO, UA just have to screw that up. I was told beginning of the semester that i was able to apply to Eller this semester and enter during the fall. Now after i went back for some advising, they told me i still have to take one more Tier 2 science class. I MEAN WTH. I COULD HAVE TAKEN IT THIS SEMESTER. now i have to delay one more semester and take subjects that i do not require just to fulfill the 12 credit as a full time student and not to mention wasting heck loads of money. I am like also required to take a subject during SUMMER so that i could actually use my GPA from the UA and not the GPA i have achieved back in my country. !@##$@#$, why am i told of all this now? somehow i don't think the management here is as good as the reputation the university holds. but nonetheless it's still better then the person handling international students at PIMA. she is one hell load of crap. really.it's like you just want to slap her down, carry her up and slap her again.

Anyhow, i hope all of you had a great semester and all the best for your finals. I just wanna get this over with and have like barely 3 weeks of holiday before i have to start my summer classes with the UA. If you seen the schedule for summer classes, it's crap.

And oh. i'm blessed to know all of you. ciaooooooooooo

Make us dream.

I think it's like 3 weeks more before the semester ends and we have to get ready ourselves for the finals. I'm glad that for this course we do not have to study for it because that took off a burden of my back! That leaves me with other 3 courses which i am also fortunate that one of them is taken at pima. Honestly you cannot fail at pima. I just cannot explain but you just cannot fail. Therefore it leaves me with 2 subjects to study. Astronomy and Utopian Russian. Well so far so good i would say, hopefully i will be able to maintain what i have achieved so far. Astronomy is darn interesting if physics weren't in it. Because of physics astronomy is just ok. Seriously it just makes it 100000 worst. I like math. but somehow calculations with physics just don't mix well for me. Utopian russian i just another history subject so i just gotta memorize. I hope i'll be able to get a good result in this course though, just maybe i'll be able to sneak into it. I'll just try my best to impress in my last essay. Hah! hopefully.

Time flies really. I still can remember touching down in the land of opportunities just 4 months ago. and i get ripped off by the cab driver which cost me usd40 just to drive me here. The meters in the cab goes up 50sens every time which i find crazily expensive. When i was in the cab i was just hoping that i reach asap because it's increasing drastically every second blink my eyes. Lol. Literally. Now, i'm am just inches away from finishing my first semester here. My journey isn't bad so far, but i would think that it could be better. I am already looking forward towards the next semester in fall. But standing in the way would be 3 months of doing nothing which would be totally awesome. Maybe i'll pick up spanish. Well i'm supporting Spain for the world cup anyway. It's would be good if i could pick up another foreign language, when i head back to malaysia i could start speaking spanish and my friends would be just so annoyed.

I'm going to get a Tv just to watch the world cup. I am aware that not alot of people here follow soccer but i guess everyone should be tuning into the world cup right? Hope there is a bar maybe that people would gather and just watch and shout and scream on the game. I love atmospheres like this. Also i am definitely going to attend the next world cup wherever it is. It's going to happen in another 4 years and i guess doing all this, traveling or even doing crazy things is when you should do when you're young because later in life i guess you'll just lose all the passion and just eventually forget about it. So if there is something you want to do. Just do it. If it's a mistake you want to make, go find it out. You won't know it's a mistake unless you have done it and figure it out yourself it's a mistake. Hah. funny how things work. People tell you it's wrong but you still do it anyway. but i guess there are somethings in life if you have something you want to do. just try doing it i guess. you won't be saying that you'll regret for not giving it a shot but stupid wonderful memories of what crazy shit you've done.I'm going to bungee jump one day. I'm scared of like heights. like when you're really high. but i'm going to jump.

To end with. We're one goal down but we still can do it. They may be leading us but when they arrive they will face an atmosphere like no other. Wi
th the passion and flag raising high, the song and anthem singing out loud and we will sing our team to the finals. In soccer, you have to to fight for the every inch, you've got to look into the eyes of the person next to you that is willing to go to that inch with you. and hopefully, we'll march on to Hamburg on Thursday night. Make us dream. You'll never walk alone. lol. sorry for being a soccer freak.

somehow i've got sleeping problems. can't sleep. but going to try. ciaooooo.
hope that all of you had a great weekend.

Journal 7

At the beginning of the semester, i believed that maybe they made a mistake by slotting me into a class full of American students because i thought i would be slotted along with all the international students. But if it's a mistake they made, i am glad it happen. I believed that i have learned so much more compared to what i would have learned in Eng107( I think that's the course structure).

I believe the one thing i have learned the most throughout this course would be doing rhetorical analysis. It is something totally new that i learned because usually i assume that english composition courses are just to learn how to write about different various of essays. I also found out that it is easy to do a simple rhetorical analysis but to really do a full rhetorical analysis is not easy. I find doing the first essay for this course to be the hardest because of the rhetorical analysis i have to make. Making rhetorical analysis allow me to determine the target audience, content, credibility and many more. I also learn to adopt appropriate voice, tone and level of formality.

Well i have no idea what is FYC but i believe is something to do with course. i think.
Therefore i would recommend these step to improve one as a writer.

1: READ MORE!! It could be anything, from a book, a magazine, newspapers or even comic books. Reading automatically improves your english and it will certainly help you writing your essay.

2: I also learned in this course that it requires multiple drafts to create a successful one. I believe you can never produce a perfect piece of work. But with the multiple efforts that have been made to improve the essay. You will be moving one more step to perfection.

3.One should be able to learn how to critic other people's work and also be open to critics from other people towards your own work. Criticism might not sound good but if it does not satisfy someone else, that means that you have a problem with your essay. Critic is in indirect message telling you to improve your essay. i guess.

4.Always pay full concentration during class. It is easier to absorb what the lecturer has to teach rather then going back and trying to read the book yourself. and it saves you more time too.

5.I know that you should not leave it toward the last minute to complete your essay. But unfortunately i am that kind of person who does that. Maybe not last minute but it's pretty close. Even so it is important to draft out a rough idea how you would want your essay to be. Simple points would be good but you have to make sure that you have all the details and information you need. If you are going to do EVERYTHING at the last minute. most probably you're screwed. Unless you're super smart or something then you could do it anyway you want :)

Journal 6

Voice and tone is important in different situations to persuade or convince certain audience. One of the examples would be the way or the tone you should be talking to your parents. If you are having an argument with your parents, regardless whether you are considered winning or losing the argument you should always talk in a calm tone because out of respect with you parents. But to have a good argument, one should always argue calmly because once if either side would start arguing in a angry tone, and if you became angry i guess you would not be thinking rationally and one would just shout whatever comes to their mind which is pointless and will just add more fuel to the argument.

Voice/Tone is also important in speeches whether it is persuasive or informative. the tone or voice is important because it will determine the way you would communicate with the audience through your speech and it will also determine the impact of the speech towards the audience. For example. i think. if you are to present a persuasive speech, you would want to make sure that you presenting in the end your speech in a high ,enthusiastic and convincing tone leaving your audience maybe impressed or persuaded with your speech.

Get it over with.

I played paintball this past Saturday, well it's been a long time but it was nice shooting again. The playing field was like a 25 minute drive from the university and i'm not sure where i was taken too. The bullet pallets are much cheaper compared to the ones back in Malaysia. It cost like 45 bucks for 2k bullets. It was fun but as the game went on, i became more um pessimistic i think, i am not sure whether that is the correct word. At first it was alright. i got shot like on the chest and my shoulders which didn't hurt at much, actually at all. But later i was like shot on top of my head, then the few times at the back and on the thighs which stings a lot. From than on i was hoping not to get shot again and i was like actually trying to just lay low every opportunity i had! During the final round i was thinking oh what the heck i'm just going to try to eliminate as many people as i could and i did! somehow i manage to eliminate 5 people which i had to admit most of it was down to luck and i wasted lots of pallets to actually trying to hit them. But oh well, it was fun but i would certainly put other sports in front of paintball.

Well this is going to be a busy week, quizzes, essays to be written and some Russian painting form to be filled. With the distractions of "How i met your mother" and a few others, i think i will barely just make it. Better not waste anytime now.
